Specialist Physician in Cardiology with a Focus on Electrophysiology

We are looking for a specialist physician in cardiology, with a particular focus on electrophysiology.

The Cardiology Clinic at the University Hospital in Linköping is part of the Heart Center (HC). We investigate and treat adult patients with all types of heart diseases, with the largest groups being ischemic heart disease, arrhythmias, valve disorders, and heart failure. We provide highly specialized care to patients from Jönköping, Kalmar, and Östergötland, and we also offer national specialty care. It is a large cardiology operation consisting of several units: HIA, acute care department (C117), elective department (C118), the pacing unit, and the heart clinic.

The clinic consists of an arrhythmia section, ischemia section, valve section, and heart failure section. In addition to health care, we conduct world-class research and development in close collaboration with the Medical Faculty at Linköping University. The operation is an education and competence center for the entire Southeast healthcare region.

Job Description

We are now announcing a specialist position in cardiology with a particular focus on electrophysiology within the arrhythmia section. The work includes duties in the arrhythmia section, including ward work, outpatient activities, and on-call duties with a particular focus on invasive electrophysiology, where you will be an important part of driving our ablation services forward.

About You

You have a Swedish medical license. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. An interest in research and education is highly valued. Practical as well as theoretical knowledge in the field of electrophysiology is strongly meritorious.

As a person, you are secure and stable. You collaborate well with others and have good communication skills. You are ambitious and driven. You see opportunities in change and have the ability to handle complex issues. It is important for you to continuously develop your knowledge, and you have an interest in research and/or education. Personal suitability is highly valued.
